BUYING

I want to know more about an auction item?

If you would like more information about an item for sale, select the 'Ask the Seller a question' on the item details page.

Can I just buy an item now?

If the seller has selected a 'buy it now' option (which is optional) for their item, then you will see a buy it now option on the item details page. The buy it now option is usually higher price than the auction item price.

How do I pay for an item on Fashion Exchange?

Once you have paid Fashion Exchange the commission on your item you can then arrange payment from the buyer for the item itself. This allows you to arrange the payment method which is most suitable for you.

Pay by PayPal

Use a third party payment system such as PayPal which enables you to send payments quickly and securely online using a credit card or bank account. This enables you to store your payment details for quick and easy payments. Both you and the Seller need to have accounts, to set up a PayPal account now, go to www.paypal.com

Once payment has been transferred the Seller can also send your buyer an invoice by email. PayPal prepares this for you automatically.

Once you have received payment post and pack your item well.

Pay by Cheque

The Seller may request that you send them a cheque which will need to clear before they can release the item.

Postal orders

For the buyer, sending a postal order should ensure they receive their goods promptly. UK sterling postal orders can be cashed at the post office or banked like a cheque.

For security you should write or print the name on the order and have it crossed. Remember to keep your receipt.
